 5 NEW THINGS!

1.      Community journalist Barry Babcock has a story about peat bogs being nature's climate regulators.

2.      Steve Downing is a community journalist for Northern Community Internet and you can read his story about the effects of the economy on the arts in northern Minnesota.  You can also call him Guido.

3.      On the local blog roll on NorthernCommunityInternet.Org you can read the blog post from A View From This Side of the Lake suggesting that if seat belts are mandatory why not motorcycle helmets?  If you want to add a local blog to our list, go here.

4.      There's a new website listed on the Bemidji websites.  Check out Jane Freeman Watercolors – a nationally known artist living north of Bemidji.

5.      There's a classified ad on VirginiaCommunity Internet.org. offering old stuff, FREE!  Old stuff being a rusty milk can, old spool barbed wire and an old wooden wine press.  You too can list your old stuff here.

*In the current corporate media driven world, do you appreciate local journalism?

Northern Community Internet is a groundbreaking experiment

that brings together journalists to tell the stories of their communities.
